Carolyn's (that me!) story.
Dave Matthews Band, SPAC (Saratoga Springs, NY).  August 29, 2000

"The crowds that lined up outside of SPAC for the DMB show were treated to a very late sound check by the band. They warmed up with the intro to ‘One Sweet World’ and ‘Minerats’ for over 45 minutes! The Dave Matthews Band was able to take a day off on Monday, before their Tuesday performance at SPAC. Since Saratoga is a mecca for summertime parties and vacationing, it is rumored that Dave spent Monday night out on the town in Saratoga.
(Excerpt from Chris Lorello)

"DAVESPEAK":
A girl threw a hat on stage, Dave picked it up and put it on, walked to the mic, took a deep breath, and said: "Looking fine this evening."

(Before 'Bartender'):
"This is a song about the bad wine and a song about the good wine. Ah this is a song about... It's called 'Bartender'".

(Before 'So Much To Say'):
Dave was walking around the stage talking with each member of the band giving them directions, and after about 5 minutes, Dave comes to the mic and says, "Sorry for taking so long. We were just talking about how lovely ya'll look."

This was my favorite DMB show for the summer of 2000. An incredible show! Being 2nd row was great!  Thanks to DMB for making a perfect evening even better.
